Tips on Using a Personalized USB in Your Marketing Strategy

When using promotional items, such as pens and calendars, in your marketing, you’ll find they can be effective by simply handing them out to anyone and everyone you meet. As they are very cost effective, you can do this. However, when using imprinted flash drives as part of your marketing strategy, the cost is a little greater and you will want to make sure you are careful in how you hand them out to make your strategy as effective as possible. The following are some tips on using a personalized USB in your marketing strategy.

Think Quality, Not Quantity
Unlike pens and calendars, a personalized USB has a high value. This, of course, is not just in the cost. The fact is, potential clients will think of your business in a higher regard when you give them something of value. When purchasing the drives, choose one from a quality manufacturer and choose one with a large enough storage that it can be used effectively by your potential customers.

Give Your Strategy Thought
Because the cost of a personalized USB is much higher than personalized pens, you will want to purchase less and develop a strategy that you feel will be more effective. One method that seems to have great results is using the memory stick as a referral incentive. In other words, if your current customer refers a buying customer to you, they would receive the memory stick as a thank you. Another method is to give them away to potential customers at special events. Handing them to anyone and everyone is just not possible.

Information Overload
What makes these drives such a wonderful gift is that your potential clients can use them on their own computers. They make transferring data or storing data convenient for the user. However, if you upload too much information on them, your customer will have less storage for their own data. Instead, include a small presentation on them with your company information and any other information that will allow them to make the right decision regarding your business and products.
